My Background
Native to Portland, OR; Amy travels and moves around a lot, spending her free time exploring new locations and cultures.
Throughout her many adventures she has gained experience in teaching, working with animals, medical offices, and more.
In 2017 she attended East West College of the Healing Arts to learn massage therapy. There she found her passion for this healing art and since then she has added many modalities to her repertoire
Amy has a passion for eastern modalities that has led her to find teachers all over the world.
My Search
Japan
In 2018 Amy travelled to Tokyo, Japan and studied Usui Reiki with her teacher, Yuko Kubota.
While there she learned the history and culture that birthed this beautiful energy work.
She hopes to return soon to finish her Reiki Mastery and potentially explore the Art of Shiatsu bodywork.
Thailand
In 2022 Amy was able to visit Thailand and study with her teacher, Pichest Boonthumme.
It was an amazing experience where she learned to reconnect with her own body while improving her bodywork skills.
Sadly Pichest Boonthumme passed away in August of 2023. Though she mourns the passing of an amazing teacher Amy is optimistic in her search for another Master to study under.
My Work
Working in a holistic fashion, Amy loves working with clients and helping them reconnect and become aware of their bodies. By facilitating a calming and safe environment, she guides others in their journey to health and happiness.
In her personal journey Amy has had the privilege of working with some amazing teachers, such as Maka’ala Yates (Hawaiian Mana Lomi) and Pichest Boonthumme (Thai Massage). These teacher’s approach to body and energy work overlap in many ways. The most noticeable is the connection to culture and intention.
By working with her teachers and integrating their mindfulness and cultural practices, Amy is able to create a unique and connected spaces for her clients to relax and receive the most out of their sessions.
She finds ways to incorporate and blend the different styles into a mix of hard and soft techniques that leave the client feeling worked over and relaxed at the same time.
